One of the biggest concerns of most parents today is the safety of our children. Because of all the attention in the media we teach our children to never talk to strangers in hopes of keeping them safe. However, most abductions occur by people the children know and love. If this is the case, how can we ever hope to keep our kids safe? A family password may be what we need. This password needs to be something only the child and parent would know and should only be shared with another person in case of an emergency when someone else is to pick up the child. If a family password is established for your family, practice it and make sure you have trained your child to ask for the password anytime someone out of the ordinary is sent to pick them up and to refuse to leave with someone that doesn’t know the secret password.
